Very interesting website. Intriguing though is that my husband's form of color vision deficiency. His differentiation along the spectrum is fine - where he runs into trouble is in saturation. This would suggest either a issue with the rods rather than the cones or a form of monochromacy where rather than having no cones, he suffers from a deficiency of cones. However, again - the monochromacy is only at low saturation levels - all pastels appear gray and there are non of the other associated vision issues.

Just thought I would mention this as I've found no information anywhere we've looked at this particular colour vision deficiency.

My 7 year old daughter called me yesterday from school saying that all of sudden blues and purples looked grey and black. She was very upset by this and has never had a problem with color blindness. Do you think this is a sudden onset of color blindness? Something else? Any input would be greatly appreciated as she is very worried about this and I cannot tell if this is real, anxiety, or something else.

Hello,

I have a client of mine who is colorblind, we're working on healthy eating but he is afraid to cook because he cannot tell if meats are done because of the colorblindness. My supervisor says there is a difference in texture when meat is not cooked, but I was wondering if there was a different way he could tell if meat is cooked so he can cook. I'd appreciate any help, thanks!

Hi Daniel, I have tested through some online tests and found that I am colorblind. As I am preparing for a test which will check my color vision, can you please tell me the approximate costs of these Chromagen lenses (and also tell me if they are contact lenses or normal lenses).
